We have reason to celebrate, as the Yorkshire Air Museum has bounced back from covid to have recorded the best footfall figures since 2018. More than 60,000 people have come through our gates in 2022, compared to 43,000 in 2021. That figure is also better than the last year before covid – 2019. This doesn’t happen by accident, it’s the result of an incredible effort by the whole team who have worked hard throughout the year.
Museum Director Jonathan Brewer said:
“I’d like to thank everyone who has played a part in our resurgence in 2022. It’s been vital that we recover from the effects of lockdowns and to do this in the face of a cost-of-living crisis is tremendous. It puts us in a great position to grow in 2023 and is a reminder of just what a great offering we have here at the Yorkshire Air Museum.”
