Our night shoot photographic opportunities are a great way to photograph some of our exhibits in a way that you’d never see during daylight hours. There’s something very sinister and war-like about seeing these Cold War era military aircraft after dark. These great pictures were sent to us by photographer Neil Pond and are wonderfully atmospheric. It’s easy to think that this is just how all of these aircraft would have looked when in active service in the 1960’s and 1970’s, being readied for night missions. You can see more of Neil’s great images over on his Flickr page here.
We light the aircraft with continuous powerful lighting, so you won’t need your flash guns. As well as some warm clothing, a hat and gloves, a good tripod is also an excellent idea and many of our night shoot photographers come well equipped. We will be announcing another night photo shoot at some point once we have the calendar in place. The exhibits will also be announced and places will be available to pre-book and buy online.
Once again, thats to Neil Pond for allowing us to share his great images, they capture the atmosphere of our night photo shoots perfectly.
