We were simply stunned by the response to this year’s 999 Emergency Services Day. After a busy summer holiday season, it was wonderful to see so many people patiently queueing at the Museum gates last Sunday to join us in meeting the emergency response services of Great Britain.
We would like to thank the incredibly diverse range of emergency services teams who travelled from across the country to be with us on the day. Your support is truly amazing and judging by some of the entertaining comments on social media channels, you all enjoyed it too!
We would also like to thank all of our visitors who came to see us on Sunday. You didn’t know it at the time, but afterwards we realised that you had helped set a new record for Museum attendance. Last Sunday saw the highest visitor turnout for a Museum event this year. So thank you so much for setting a new record and don’t forget that your entrance ticket is valid for a whole year, so be sure to keep it and return again to see us soon.
We’ve assembled a selection of images for you below, plus if you follow our social media channels, you will have seen the many images of your own that you were sharing too. Once again, thank you.
