The Yorkshire Air Museum and Allied Air Forces Memorial celebrates aviation history with a unique collection of aircraft on display at Yorkshire’s best-preserved, original World War Two RAF station site. We tell stories of innovation, ingenuity and courage that give insight into the aircraft and the people who made and flew them to inform and inspire current and future generations.
We are an accredited independent museum established 35 years ago and are governed by a Board of Trustees. The Museum is run and operated by 20 staff and 120 volunteers and welcomes on average 50,000 visitors per year.

Full Time or Part time Role
ABOUT THE JOB
We are recruiting an Office Manager to join our team to support the management team with the delivery of our new business plan.
The postholder will be responsible for delivering a consistently high standard of customer service to all visitors, customers, staff and volunteers via phone, letter, email and in person. The role will handle all administrative tasks as required to support the Museum Director and the Senior Management team and will provide administration support for the management of staff and volunteers, including advertising, recruitment, selection, training & development and communication. In addition, the Office Manager will create and update management information to support the museum’s operations, across areas including Finance, HR, Health & Safety, museum assets.
We are looking for someone who has a proven office management, administrative, or assistant experience and who has knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems, and procedures. They will have excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritise work, as well as being able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. They will have a strong attention to detail and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong problem-solving, organisational and planning skills.
