Easter at the Museum – The White Rabbits Trail

“Cherchez Les Lapins Blancs” To celebrate Easter and in memory of RAF Elvington Station Mascot ‘Nostradamus’, we are running an Easter trail with a French twist. Against The Odds – D Day 75th Commemoration

Join us for this year's Against The Odds weekend and experience life at RAF Elvington during World War Two. Our re-enactors will be here to explain what life was like here for serving Halifax Bomber air crews as they fought to liberate occupied Europe. “Inspirations” STEM Challenge

Working with North Yorkshire Business & Education Partnership and other sponsors, we are proud to support the “Inspirations” STEM Challenge & Showcase each year. Remembrance Sunday

The annual gathering to remember the sacrifice of the British and Free French aircrews that served at Elvington during World War Two, together with those that have served to deliver the freedom we enjoy today. The services take place from 11am at the French Air Force Memorial in Elvington Village followed by the Service of Remembrance at the Station Chapel of The Allied Air Forces Memorial, Yorkshire Air Museum at 13.30pm. Elvington Christmas Workshops 2019

On Christmas Eve 1944, 200 handcrafted toys were delivered to York Mansion House to be delivered to the sick and needy children in the City of York hospitals and institutions.
