The final ‘anti-det’ runs of the year will take place this coming Saturday 8th December, during the afternoon (that aviation-speak for “anti deterioration runs” – where live aircraft are operated every 28 days to maintain the engines and operating systems). This ‘last blast’ before Christmas will see the twin prop De Havilland Devon VP967 started up, which is always exciting as the engines fire into life with a spectacular swirl of smoke!
Following this, it will be the turn of Blackburn Buccaneer XN 974 to come alive with the mighty roar of the twin Rolls Royce Spey jet engines.
So, if you fancy a break from the dreary trudge round the shops, you know where to bring the kids this Saturday!!
