Against The Odds – D Day 75th Commemoration

May 11 - May 12

Join us for this year’s Against The Odds weekend and experience life at RAF Elvington during World War Two. Our re-enactors will be here to explain what life was like here for serving Halifax Bomber air crews as they fought to liberate occupied Europe in the days leading up to D Day 1944.

For 2019, to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the D Day landings visitors will see the Museum transformed into RAF Elvington on the eve of D Day. Learn more about what was happening here at RAF Elvington in the days leading up to D Day and how the Squadrons based here were involved in the liberation of Europe.
