The huge car park is a big plus in York – we never have a problem parking at YAM. All the YAM team members who help on our events are first-class – nothing is too much trouble. The Hangar was huge flat space; offering us lots of flexibility for our exhibitions, the car parking area was large, flat and close by, the museum as an attraction itself offered our guests an interesting, interactive and fun day out! The Elvington Room
The Elvington Room is a period building, part of the original RAF Elvington. It’s versatile space can be configured into a wide variety of different layouts, from row seating for presentations to grouped tables for discussions and many other variations. High speed wireless broadband is available in the Elvington Room, with other modern conference facilities including overhead projection and camera staging if required. Whilst it’s location immediately adjacent to the NAAFI restaurant makes it perfect for catering and breaks, it can be completely sealed off from the rest of the Museum to create a private area and to avoid distractions.
The Canadian Memorial Hangar
The Canadian Memorial Hangar is vast space and home of our large aircraft collection, house the only complete Handley Page Halifax Bomber in Europe. The hangar can be adapted for a variety of purposes and the historic aircraft make a stunning backdrop for large events and conferences. Also the overhead structure is capable of incorporating your event lighting rigs, remote cameras and other broadcast solutions. The outside showground is capable of accepting large outdoor display stands, vehicle displays and other facilities. Easy access for vehicles of all sizes.
Our on site NAAFI Restaurant with dedicated caterers provide exceptional food and drink, you will find menu options on the packages. It also uses fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Our catering team help our guests with everything from simple refreshments, through buffet lunches al the way to a full three course meal.
Transport and Accomodation
The Museum has good contacts and relationships with local hotels and private bus companies, we can help you arrange accommodations and transport from the nearby City of York to the Museum and back if required.
